Today we assembled and made a first run of our restored Lombard logging sled, towed with the Breton family gas Lombard log hauler. The sled and gas Lombard ran beautifully on our icy museum roads. A special thanks to students at the Presque Isle Regional Career and Technical Center for their beautiful work restoring this historic sled. Thanks also to Terry Harper for enthusiastically leading this project, the Breton family for loaning their gas Lombard, and to Keith Kanoti for transporting the sled to our museum.
