Remnant 2 Review - The First 18 Minutes of Gameplay (Nightmare Difficulty / No Damage / Tutorial & Introduction Section) & My Remnant 2 Review. Just a quick video showing the first moments of gameplay that you'll encounter in the game. Details below, along with my review of the game. While I don't think the tutorial does the game much justice, the rest of the game is brilliant, and has easily become my new favourite of all time (surpassing only Remnant 1). I will admit that I went into this as a massive Remnant: From the Ashes fanboy, but I can confidently say that Remnant 2 is a sequel done right. With meaningful changes to evolve the game in nearly every single way, while keeping the core gameplay similar, and not straying too far from the original. Please see the pinned comment for my full review, as it ended up exceeding the character limit for this description. Regarding the video itself, as I mentioned before the tutorial really doesn't do the game much justice. I also took this a lot more passively than I liked, and I chose Nightmare over Apocalypse, as I had to re-record the tutorial as I didn't properly save it the first time around. Apocalypse doesn't unlock until you beat the game, so I wanted to show the more authentic first time experience. I used a similar weapon for my Nightmare playthrough, but the slight differences threw me off, so it's pretty sloppy. I also had to avoid standing near any of the friendly characters, as I wanted to have my own spin on the gameplay and doing it with “no damage“, but they can hit you so I played it extra safe as a result. The plan for release and content schedule is to post this initial tutorial section, the first 3 bosses I faced on nightmare with no damage to begin with (all from N'Erud which is the first world I got). After the game releases to early access, I'll have the full no damage nightmare compilation with all of the bosses I encountered in my first playthrough. I'll also have a dedicated final boss video - which is absolutely insane, and easily the craziest boss I've fought in a video game. I'll keep the thumbnail and title spoiler free for that one, as per usual. After that, I'll be working through all bosses with no damage on apocalypse difficulty, along with puzzle and guide solutions throughout the game.
