Recorded at @premierguitars What you see before you is an incredible, original 1943 Martin D-28 with Herringbone binding. While America was well and truly involved in WW2 by 1943 - the term ‘Pre War’ denotes a specific quality, design and materials that Martin were able to maintain until 1944. This is the same model that Gerry Garcia and Hank Williams played. It is a truly significant piece of musical history. Not only that but it is a beautiful guitar to play. Incredibly light construction with serious mid range projection. A real 'banjo killer' as they say. I felt very lucky to be able to play this instrument. It is recorded using a single Telefunken (Neumann) U47 microphone, shot on a Canon EOS R6. I hope you enjoy!
