Russian President Vladimir Putin has said “it’s obvious” that the Russian military plane carrying POWs was shot down by Ukrainian air defences. He pointed out that two missile launches from Ukrainian territory were recorded barely minutes before the plane crash. According to Putin, there is evidence that air defence systems were used to bring down the plane & Russian systems were therefore ruled out.
