Similarities Between Turkish and Karakalpak

Can Turkish and Karakalpak speakers understand each other? In this episode we showcase some of the similarities and test the degree of mutual intelligibility between Turkish and Karakalpak. Feruza (Karakalpak speaker), and Batuhan (Turkish speaker) will each read statements in their respective languages to see how well they can understand one another.
