Johnny Depp goes back to court for beating someone on set

After a highly publicized trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard that drew record crowds, Johnny Depp is ready to testify in Los Angeles after Gregg 'Rocky' Brooks will sue him civilly for punching him on the set of City of Lies. The justices ruled in favor of the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, according to the New York Post. Depp will speak in Los Angeles Superior Court on July 25th after more than four days of testimony. Benjamin Chew and Camille Vasquez, his defense team, will be by his side. The Gregg 'Rocky' Brooks complaint claimed in 2018 that Depp punched him twice in the rib cage while working on the police thriller based on the investigation into the killings of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious . According to his account, the events occurred on April 13, 2017. Brooks claims that things heated up after he told actor-director Brad Furman that a scenario wasn't working, so he went looking for a cop after Furman threatened to pay him $100,000 if he did.
