GAME RECAP: Penguins at Flames () | Gruden Scores First NHL Goal

Saturday night, the Pittsburgh Penguins faced off against the Calgary Flames for their third game of a four-game road trip. Pittsburgh took the first lead. Scoring his first NHL goal was Jonathan Gruden. Gruden entered the zone with the puck and was forced wide. Throwing the puck on net from the goal line, the puck trickled through the pads and into the back of the net. Followed shortly after, the Penguins got their second of the night. With some tic tac toe passing on the power play ending in a shot on net, the rebound popped up into the air where Lars Eller batted the puck into the back of the net. The Flames responded in the 2nd period with their first goal by Yegor Sharangovich. Early in the 3rd, Pittsburgh took a 3-1 lead. Jeff Carter tipped a shot from Ryan Graves and expanded their lead. At the mid-way point of the 3rd, the Flames scored two quick goals 32 seconds apart to even the score 3-3. Nazem Kadri on the power play followed by Blake Coleman.
