Alexander Glenfield demonstrates seven styles of Tuvan throat singing, also known as “khoomei.“ The seven styles demonstrated here include: khoomei, sygyt, dag kargyraa, steppe kargyraa, ezenggileer, khoomei borbanggndyr and chylandyyk. Please note that the melodies, rhythms, and meters used in these examples deviate from the traditional styles of khoomei in Tuva.
