Various shots as Mountbatten says: “I've come up to see General Ridgway and Admiral Carney, and to find out exactly what they want to do. I should like to say that we have already had a very close liaison with Admiral Carney's headquarters and the British headquarters in Malta, so the task of taking over will be easy and pleasant. Furthermore as Admiral Carney already has an efficient staff administering the Command, I can take it over at a reasonable pace and not in a tremendous rush before it's ready to take the weight.
