Hello everybody! Here is an interesting situation where an energetic man refuses to give up his identifying information to the growing frustration of the police. Let me just say that no one should ever look to me for legal advice and I sort of misspoke as I answered the officers question about ID-ing. I was trying to say that they can detain people who match a description as they investigate whether or not a crime has occurred. Not that people have to ID just because they match a description from someone who has called 911 on them. But admittedly I was thrown off by the question the officer posed to me. I'm not a legal expert, just a guy who points a camera and has watched a lot of Youtube videos. Nevertheless, the key takeaway is cops have to investigate crimes. And if there is no crime then you shouldn't be compelled to give them anything. Also remember we have the right to remain silent! The man could have exercised this right a little better in my opinion. But he did a good job of sticking to his guns and
