“Satisfaction“ was a underground rap hit by Vanilla Ice and legendary producer Sky King first performed live in the mid to late 80s. The song was not released on Ice's first album released in 1989 due to copyright reasons, which is also why it was left off his 1990 album with SBK/EMI; To The Extreme. After his amazing success with To The Extreme, The Rolling Stones saw no problem with giving Ice permission to sample their song. In 1991, the song premiered during Ice's 1991 live tour (Extremely Live) and released on the record with the same name. The single reached many pop charts globally and was viewed as another hit by Ice until it fell into obscurity from the mainstream in the mid 90's. The music video was made in a rush from outtakes during the filming of the music videos for “Stop That Train“ and “Rollin in My 5.0“ as Ice was still touring during the filming. Also featured in the music video are Vanilla Ice Posse members DJ Earthquake, Hi-Tech, E-Rock and Juice. The deep gravely voice we hear in the song is Tone-Loc who toured with Ice during the late 80s. Ice had been with opening for Loc during his initial success with “Wild Thing“ and “Funky Cold Medina“ and Ice felt that this song was a spiritual sequel and wanted his mentor to guest appear in the song. The voice was slightly altered and Loc was left uncredited on the track.
