Just got back from Manhattan Beach where we had a great view of the Falcon 9 launch with SAOCOM 1A. The rocket launched in the darkness but flew into the sunlight making for a spectacular display when the first stage boostback burn and second stage plume interacted to form a glowing cloud of nebulosity. This is also the first time Falcon landed on ground at Vandenberg, which it did successfully about 8 minutes after launch. What a sight! Taken with 714mm focal length apo telescope.
