Hey everyone. In todays lesson we are looking at a neoclassical guitar lick in the key of aminor and then using that idea to create an epic neoclassical shred sequence/passage. The lick is based around a 4 note alternate picked pattern which then continues throughout the modes. This lick is in the style of yngwie malmsteen and it is a great shred, metal neoclassical lick to add to your bag of tricks.. It is mostly based around the A natural minor scale using the A harmonic minor scale towards the end. The chords and modes I was using when creating this lick where: Aminor- A natural minor/Aeolian Dminor- D Dorian Gmajor -G Mixolydian Cmajor-C major scale/Ionian Fmajor-F Lydian B diminished- B Locrian Changes to A harmonic minor- E7- E Phrygian dominant as you have a major 3rd instead of the usual minor 3rd found in Phrygian helping us form a dominant 7 chord. G# diminished- G# Super Locrian bb7 (mixolydian with the root raised) Tabs are on screen. Like and subscribe for mo
