Funny scene with three of my favorite actors. Hackman plays the overly arrogant gold baron while Hauer (still with a Dutch accent) plays the cocky soon to be son-in-law. Meanwhile Rourke is doing his sleazy thing with that little smile of his, playing a Jewish lawyer. This was filmed years before release, so neither Hauer nor Rourke had established themselves as stars yet. And of course Nicolas Roeg masterfully directs (as always) this little seen gem. With Theresa Russell.
