Jalal Abukhater had just finished running with his group through occupied East Jerusalem when he was badly beaten by Israeli border police. But despite his injuries, he’s determined to keep running. When Palestinian athletes in the occupied territories want to run a marathon, they face violence from Israeli soldiers, checkpoints restricting their movement and harassment from Israeli settlers.
