This quick tutorial shows how to convert any mesh into Lego Bricks (or any other kind of bricks and meshes), while keeping the original textures intact. A free Blender file, containing the required Geometry Nodes, is available for download. Blender version or above is required. It takes a single mesh with a single material in order to work properly, but the tutorial shows you how to convert an object, that contains multiple meshes and materials into the required format. Any mesh of any size is possible (just limited by your hardware configuration) and I've even tested it with Mixamo animations. Multiple configuration options are available, like viewport- and render resolution, brick size and rotation, material selection and the number of brick layers. The brick instances can be realized into a single mesh, in order to export it for using it in other 3D software. Download the Blender file here (it's free, so just type “0“ into the “Name a price“ box and hit “I want this“. Of course, you can also donate a small amount, if you like!): Link to the Blender Principled Baker extension, which I used for merging multiple materials into one: A big shoutout to Joey Carlino for his great tutorial, which inspired me to create my own, extended version of his work. Also check out his “Lego Anything“ video on this topic: In this tutorial I've used some free 3D models from Sketchfab: #Blender #geometrynodes #lego
