140MPH Hurricane Lidia Hits Near Mexico Resort Hurricane Lidia made landfall near Mexico’s Pacific coast resort of Puerto Vallarta late Tuesday as an “extremely dangerous” Category 4 storm whipping up wind speeds of 140mph before moving inland. The eye of the storm initially hit a sparsely populated area about 30 miles from Puerto Vallarta and 90 miles from Jalisco state capital, Guadalajara - Mexico’s second-largest city - ripping up power lines and causing landslides over some highways. So far, there have been no reports of injuries or deaths, despite “extraordinary rain and high surf” reported in some places and up to 12 inches of rain expected. Subscribe to RT Источник: RT News
