Are mermaid tails safe? Can you get out of your mermaid tail? Mermaid tail safety is important and in this video we will demonstrate the Quick Release method for removing your mermaid tail. This method allows you to quickly remove your feet from the monofin and swim out of your mermaid tail. Before covering the Quick Release Method, we have a few other tips in mermaid tail training: #1: Make sure you put your feet in the monofin correctly. First, put on just the monofin without the tail - pull cuffs up completely over the ankles. #2: Once you have the monofin on correctly, practice kicking in shallow water near the edge of a pool. Make sure the monofin does not come off with the normal dolphin kick motion and then practice kicking in shallow water. #3: Put on the tail and monofin and begin practicing in the complete tail.
