Wang Huaqi, from the Qiang ethnic group, lives in Yuli Town, Beichuan County. Since 1989, he has been following his father to make handmade Beichuan cured meat, which is deeply rooted in the authenticity and essence of the older generation. With the significant increase in the popularity of Beichuan cured meat, Wang Huaqi has also been named the inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of Beichuan cured meat.
