As he begins his Histoire (s) du cinema, Jean-Luc Godard talks about his project with Serge Daney. The ½ inch original video tapes were entrusted to Serge Le Peron in 2012 during the preparation of his documentary Serge Daney: the cinema and the world. They were digitized at the INA, but the film nevertheless remains incomplete in the absence of two original elements. In 2014, a screening was organized in a university setting. For the occasion, a DCP is produced from digital Betacam cassettes with the assistance of the École nationale supérieure Louis-Lumière. A digital copy is then deposited at the Cinémathèque française with the agreement of Jean-Luc Godard.
