Originally named “Zorin OS Upgrader”, after many requests over the years, it was decided by the developer team to present it as a seamless solution that allows clean and hassle-free upgrades between major versions of Zorin OS and other versions. Previously, users had to perform a clean install to upgrade between major versions or versions of Zorin OS. This process involved backing up files, deleting apps and settings, and then starting from scratch to set up work environments. Thus, This troublesome process has come to an end. How to upgrade Starting today, you can upgrade from the free editions of Zorin OS 16 to the Pro edition or from Zorin OS 15 (64-bit) to Zorin OS 16. The Zorin OS Upgrader is currently in Beta testing and may cause stability issues in rare cases. We don’t recommend choosing this option for mission-critical production systems.
