Julie Sanford of Studio JSD demonstrates how to create custom twisted wire from recycled copper. An easy, affordable and earth friendly alternative to using expensive, pre-fabricated materials. Extend this basic process by varying the wire thickness and texture before twisting, or hammering the wire after twisting. The wire can be used to create rings, bracelets, jewelry embellishments, custom components and can be used in combination with many other metalsmithing techniques.
