Graduated in solo singing from Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in 1960. Honorary Artist of the Russian Federation (1968). National Artist of the Russian Federation (1974). Winner of the Russian and International Variety Performers Contests. Eduard Hill is the original performer of many songs of a soviet 60s, such as: Лесорубы (Woodcutters), Песня о друге (Song about a Friend). He also performed such USSR hits as Берёзовый сок (Birch Tree Juice), Солнечная баллада (Sun Ballade), Как хорошо быть генералом (So Good to be a General). His manner of singing is unique: a bright, perfect and everlastingly clear lyrical baritone with a lively charge of optimism and humor.
