From the first moment I saw Oksana on stage I've known she's an excellent vocalist and bass player. Truly awesome in my opinion, and now she will be handling both the vocals and bass in Devourer since Fredrik Håf is no longer a member of Devourer. We're working on new songs now and this video is from a vocal recording session for our pre-production of one of those songs. It's a one-minute part, and it's a good part, but it doesn't convey the scope of our new material. It's not just death metal, it's a lot more than that. Devourer is, and always was, a unique blend of extreme metal ranging from bleak black metal to brutal death metal to psychotic, slithering nightmare riffs and abysmal soundscapes. We're evolving, and I can't wait to hear what will come of it in the end. The only thing I'm sure of is that it will be awesome! Music isn't just a hobby to me, it's what I do and have been doing for a long time. In my early years sharing things on the web wasn't a thing, but starting from this Devourer project I'm sharing more about our process. From writing, rehearsing and pre-production recording sessions to the finished mix. We have a page on Facebook, an Instagram account and a YouTube channel, so that's where the updates will be posted.
