Mecha action short film made in Unreal Engine. A solo animation project I worked on for over 4 months, depicting Mech warfare heavily inspired by Gundam and Armored Core. Special thanks to artists Zen Jirakun, Jaejun Kim, David Tilton, Pj and StrikerAstra for allowing me to use their concepts for my work. In a near-future strife with interplanetary conflict and mech warfare, ‘Gunmetal Raid’ depicts a raid of a military installation by a burgeoning extrasolar empire which conducts lighting warfare using Ace-piloted mechs. Meeting them head on are the defenders of this border world, a planetary defense force comprised of their own veteran pilots. Beleaguered for months now, the final attack is imminent, and they now make their final stand.
