Once upon a time, I found myself tripping and watching one of Lex Fridman’s podcasts. It got me thinking about the commonalities we all share and the inexplicable distance we often maintain from each other. I often feel lonely and disconnected from the world, so I retreat into the world of my imagination, choosing to spend time at home working on my music instead of engaging in the typical social activities most people enjoy. Maybe it’s rooted in my childhood experiences, contributing to my antisocial tendencies, or it’s just an intrinsic part of who I am. I can’t quite figure it out. It’s possible that neuroticism fuels my constant desire to work, preventing me from ever truly relaxing. Sometimes I feel like I’m trapped in a cage, constantly trying to fit into certain molds, reach some destinations, achieve some goals, and meet others’ expectations, all the while neglecting my real needs. Logically, I understand the absurdity of these notions, but breaking free from them and allowing myself to simply feel is extremely hard for me for some reason. Nevertheless, as I mentioned earlier, while watching @lexfridman, I got the sense that perhaps he might grapple with some similar issues, harboring his own set of insecurities and life challenges. Of course, it very well could be my distorted perception, but in that moment, it seemed like it, and it made me feel less alone. And I wrote this song. So, thank you, Lex, for the inspiration. So many men, so many minds… I see myself in you. Can we unite somehow? Why don’t you just sing with me right now? As loud as you can: “We are all one!“ We look at the same Stars, clouds, and sun. Be who you wanna be, Do what you wanna do, Set yourself free! Let yourself be free, Let yourself be free, Be free, oh Yeah free Be free Be free How can we make it through, Jumping from side to side?
