US Orchestra (Ukrainska Silska Orchestra) – three young musicians, who play Ukrainian traditional instrumental music, discovered both in field expeditions, and in musical archives. The album “I” includes music of emigrants from Western Ukraine, who came to America in early XX century and were recorded by American recording companies “Columbia Records” and others in 1920’s-30’s. These were the first recordings of Ukrainian traditional dance music ever.
