“The Meaning of Eternity“ is to me an underrated yet precious gem in Dimash Qudaibergen's song list. Within the context of the Chinese musical, the song’s lyrics come from the part of a dying warrior. The same words though, seen through the filter of a personal interpretation, also speak about life, thus they can appeal to anyone… Don’t we all see “more” with our inner sight than with our physical eyes? Haven’t you ever felt renewed after “letting die” an old and unnecessary part of yourself? Haven’t a loss ever opened the door to a whole new world of exciting new possibilities? And aren’t we all connected, not only with each other, but also with the breathtakingly beautiful home we all share, Earth? Dimash’s unique timbre and artistic choices have become the perfect vehicle for the lyrics & melody to travel straight to my heart, right from the first notes! Still, ever since I got involved in video editing, I have been shying away from the desire to create a fanvid about this song, as it felt too challenging. Having not nearly enough footage of Dimash, along with the feeling of responsibility for attempting to convey such deep lyrics through images, have both been quite intimidating and eventually discouraging factors.
