Reinhart sang solo with a number of backing bands, recording under several different labels. He was also a member of the Light Crust Doughboys for a time, as well as a member of the Rough Riders, a trio consisting of himself, Johnny Bond, and Jimmy Wakely. In addition to his musical career, he also acted in a few Westerns in the '40s. He died of a heart attack at age 41.
