Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are organic chemicals that readily produce vapors at ambient temperatures, and are therefore emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids. They come from different sources paint and enhancers, formaldehyde from the woodwork, construction materials, perfume, chemicals from cleaning products, gassing monomers from plasticware, and a lot more. VOCs are very harmful to embryos during embryonic growth and development. VOCs directly attach to the DNA and poses detrimental effects to its growth. One study conducted suggests that a high level of VOCs over 1 ppm is directly toxic to embryos as determined by marine and human experiments. Due to the growing amount of evidence suggesting that air contaminants such as VOCs affect IVF outcomes. IVF laboratories must have cleanroom specifications. Personnel should wear proper PPE and the incubator must be able to filter VOCs. The Esco MIRI® is fully equipped with a built-in HEPA/VOC filtration system capable of removing particulat
