Pain is truly an individual experience for both humans and our animal companions. Every patient's nervous system responds a little bit differently - especially in chronic pain states like osteoarthritis. As such, treating pain is not always a “once-size-fits-all“ proposition. It gets even more challenging for those with comorbidities (e.g. liver or kidney disease) - as we may be limited in the drugs we can administer to these patients.
