The Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) is holding a meeting in Yerevan, with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Belurasian leader Alexander Lukashenko, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Kazakhstan’s Kassym-Jomart Tokayev among those attending. The members will discuss international and regional security issues; in particular, improving the CSTO crisis response system and joint measures to assist Armenia amid heightened tensions with Azerbaijan. A declaration of the Collective Security Council is expected to be adopted. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas will also be present. The CSTO comprises Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.
