Digital twin in the mining industry: a grinding mill case study

Mining industry companies implement Digital Twin technology to achieve higher efficiency of equipment and improve online monitoring of every part. Advanced approaches use coupling DEM-simulation (Discrete Element Method), IIoT and predictive analytics Using Digital Twin technology, the customer reduces production costs by reducing operating, electricity and consumables costs. This is the opportunity to optimize labor use and increase equipment reliability, by diagnosing defects at an early stage and preventing downtime. Our mill demo facility has been created to demonstrate related equipment, system architecture and user interface, which help to achieve higher efficiency of mill system in real time.
