A little explaining First take a transparency (OHP) sheet and roughen the surface with a 100 grit sand paper in Vertical horizontal and diagonal directions. THIS IS TO ENSURE THAT THE PRINTER INK DOESN’T SMEAR AND FORM DROPLETS LIKE IT WOULD ON A REGULAR SMOOTH OHP. You can polish this rough side with a very little Vaseline (too much will spoil the printer and the printout) using a cotton cloth so that the ink comes off easily into wood. Use normal inkjet printer with dye (water) based ink to take print on the rough side. The printout should be in LEAST RESOLUTION (draft mode) as more ink will cause droplets on the print and spoil the detailing. Prepare the wood by sanding it first and then apply some Fabric glue. Normal glue has too much water and will cause the transfer to smudge and smear. If using normal PVA glue like fevicol make sure to let it dry for a while before placing the Printed side onto it.
