Join the ranks of many guitarists who are greatly inspired by him. !!Note, the slapping part is actually incorrect in this video if you want to do it exactly as Guthrie does it. He uses the open E string instead of E on the B string. And you can replace various notes with other open strings also. but the basic technique still applies!! This is a part by part breakdown of his song Wonderful Slippery Thing. I do not go into the improvisation parts in this video. I only break down the parts of the song that Guthrie plays consistently.
