I remember falling in love with this song (the remake) the first time I listened to it. I’m happy I got around to translating it. From their TOUR16-17 FROM DEPRESSION TO ________ [mode of Kisou]. Translation by me. Annotations: “I load all the things I have loved“ - “Load“ as in, really getting all the things together and stuffing them in there. “Being taken - being played - she drowns“ - Let’s talk about the “being taken“ part. I was thinking really long about how to best put this. In this song it almost definitely does mean she was passively having sex (maybe being taken advantage of?). However, the verb used in the original is very nicely inexplicit, and I wanted to keep that nuance. The verb (抱かれる) usually means “being embraced/held“ but it can also mean “having sex“ (passively in this case) in certain contexts, and I agree that’s what it means here. I then decided to go with a word that has similar attributes - it originally has a different meaning, but can mean “to have sex“ in certain contexts. “Being taken“ is the best I could find. “I will scatter with you“ - “Scatter“, like flower petals scatter/fall. --------------- I do not own Dir En Grey or any of their music or performances.
