Flashback to January 2019: Virginia Dem legislature push for a bill that would allow abortions to be done up to and beyond birth, under the guise of “mental health”. This is what Trump was referring to in the debate. When the Dems say the “health” of the mother, they are including “mental health”, effectively creating a loophole that any mother could just say she’s too anxious. She could be already giving birth, and the doctor could terminate the baby, without having any actual physical danger to the mother. This bill was praised by then Democrat Governor, Ralph Northam, and those who called this bill radical and evil, were called “far-right extremists”. Trump wants to put a reasonable cap on how far into pregnancy women can get abortions, and Democrats want to be able to murder babies without any limits, or any physical danger to the mother.
