SUPPORT THE ALBUM ON SOUNDCLOUD & BANDCAMP “Your favorite game has lost its purpose. What it was, what it said, what it meant to you. Whatever it was, it's almost as if someone so lively and fun fell into obscurity and forgetfulness. Mostly nobody knows about it but you. You can hear it. Slowly, but surely.“ This is a progression of the obscure building/LEGO game Blockland, and its deterioration of its quality, state of development, and form factor. Based off The Caretaker's “Everywhere at the End of Time“, its formula touches on the gradual decline of the human psyche under the effects of dementia/Alzheimer's separated into six stages. While Everywhere and Nowhere in Blockland doesn't touch on any illness or specific human conditions, each song shows a slight change in state and familiarity the longer it goes on; Blockland being a game that hasn't been majorly updated since 2013-2015, signs of which affect its community and development entirely. Most of the samples/sounds heard in this album can be traced back to the 1997 and 1998 programs “Beat 2000“ and “5000 Sounds“, fit for recreational use akin to EATEOT's usage of 20's to 30's music that has since been free to sample. TRACKLIST 0:00: 01 - The Last Day of School 2:51: 02 - I'm Happy Somewhere Else 5:50: 03 - Building is Hard But I Try So Badly 7:29: 04 - By The Gazebo 9:23: 05 - I Don't Remember The Ice Palace Having A Dead End 11:28: 06 - One By Eighteen 12:49: 07 - What Even Is This Even Is This 14:03: 08 - I Don't Think Anyone's Joining Ever 16:32: 09 - Beyond The Bedroom Doors 19:36: 10 - Undeniable Proof That Each Brick Means Nothing To Me 22:04: 11 - Every Single Stud Is Sinking From The Ground One By One 28:28: 12 - Finally Floating Above And Beyond This Very Stairway --- All credit goes to their respective artists, including Röyksopp, ThatBlackNorwegian, and others who contributed to the development of Blockland. While the community and some of its developers may not be the brightest bulbs, its legacy still lives on and throughout with its supplemental games (i.e, Brickadia). ---
