The play “Front” (1942) is a very modern play... Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin personally instructed Alexander Korneichuk to write it. Moreover, it was written urgently and in emergency mode. Why? Watch an excerpt from the film and read this material further. And then it got more interesting. Precisely because it was an order from Comrade Stalin, it was immediately published in the newspaper Pravda (and it is not clear that they never published anything without approval). This was done from August 24 to August 27, 1942 (during the most difficult period of the Battle of Stalingrad). Further more, the play was instantly (by all standards) made into a film, which was also instantly distributed throughout the country, including distribution at the front. And almost all the theaters in the country staged performances based on it. Well, it’s clear, since Comrade Stalin wanted it that way. What was this play about? And it was about exactly the same thing that many people are now talking ... Source: Lord Of War
