Gunhild -- Carling Family 1984 From an international trombonist friend Dymitr Markiewicz who obviously lives somewhere between Sweden, Poland and Thailand I received a most incredible film of Hans Carling's New Coolin Jazzmen. In this film Hans introduces the members of his family band. Hans plays trumpet, his wife Aina is on banjo with daughter Gerd on piano, but especially featured are son Max at 15 on clarinet and daughter Gunhild at 9 on trombone. I assume that Dymitr, who plays excellent trombone himself had a big influence on daughter Gunhild's approach to jazz and playing the trombone. He composed this tune which he named “Gunhild.“ The audience is totally excited and this emotion certainly shows on the faces of Max and Gunhild. Just unbelievable!
