Russia has successfully tested a new advanced anti-drone system amid Ukrainian drone attacks in the ongoing war. The Serp-VS5D is the latest addition to the Serp line of anti-drone systems made by the Ruselectronics holding’s Vektor Research Institute. The state-of-the-art defence system claims to be able to cut off UAVs from their operators and satellite navigation systems, making drones unflyable. Drones have played a big role in the ongoing war in Ukraine, with either side using UAVs to hit targets in enemy territory. In May 2023, Ukraine was accused of carrying out a drone attack on the Kremlin.
