News in a Nutshell. No opening title. Title reads: “Sudbury“. Vaudeville stars - Norman Long, Clapman Dwyer (sp.?), Billy Bennett and others - play golf in Suffolk. Various shots of group of variety performers gathered around ball near hole. The man golfing keeps on telling corny old jokes just as he is about to put. The others shout out the punch lines before he gets a chance. When he does hit the ball he misses the hole - much general hilarity. Intertitle reads: “Gosport“. Endeavour II's mast stepped in Gosport, Hampshire. Various shots of enormous new mast being fitted to racing yacht (this year's British hope in the Americas' cup). A massive crane has to be used to fit the mast in place. Intertitle reads: “Selkirk“. Beating the bounds, Borders, Scotland. Various shots of crowds of happy looking people , some ride horses. M/S of man holding large flag giving speech from balcony. Crowd (including a brass band) follows a man carrying the flag around the town and across a river. M/S
