Locals said that after renovations, the tower block seemed to come back to life around the end of 2021 when individuals started moving in. With the locals not truly being informed, newspapers in 2022 claimed that migrants were being housed at Burrows Court once they landed in the United Kingdom despite the recent number of homeless in the county being over 1600; however, the Home Office declined to formally confirm this. As usual it seems like an easy money grab by the Nottinghamshire County council especially when they recently issued a section 114 notice, in effect declaring itself bankrupt.
