Bracing of the fleeing archer

Forget speed shooting, here comes speed bracing. This is historical “bracing of the frightened and fleeing archer “ put to a test. Based on extraordinary bow stringing method of Arab/Mamluk archers as described in “Arab Archery“ (1945, Faris & Elmer) - translated edition of an Arabic manuscript of about A.D. 1500. This technique is used in a situation where you “face an assault by sword or spear or the like“. The archer runs away from the assailant and braces their bow while on the run.
