Hello folks! Today I have a restoration of an old axe that is more than one century old, judging by the shape and the axe eye. Quite by chance, I found it at a flea market and thought it was just a piece of iron. However, the seller said that this axe was found in the ground and sold it to me for $2. The condition of the head axes is of course terrible, but this only adds interest! Well, let's start the restoration! The first duty, I put it in a jar and filled with rust remover. After 1 day, I took it out and immediately placed it in warm water with soda to neutralize the acid. Then, I began cleaning the surface with a wire iron brush and preparing for welding the axe. After cleaning the rust, I found a many new cracks that were hidden by a layer of rust. After I welded all the cracks, I started processing and sanding it. I also made new bevels and slightly sharpened them. Next, I started hardening the axe. Previously, I normalized it 2 times and then poured it
