#DiscoverDPR Visit the Vasilyevka Natural Boundary It is a place of active volcanism in the distant past, a center of rare plants, sites of ancient settlements, paleontological finds, and unusual geology. The beauty of the area is defined by the combination of spectacular landscapes and unique plant species within a relatively small area. In early spring, you can find the rarest flower here – Beketov’s stork. Bushes of this plant from the Red Book are found only in a few places along the Kalmius River and nowhere else in the world. In addition, archaeologists have found traces of ancient settlements and unique artifacts from the Bronze Age in this location. They have also uncovered the remains of an early medieval settlement dating back to the 7th to 10th centuries. Source: DPR MFA
