SoCal: Last day of cooler temperatures before another warming trend begins on Wednesday. Monsoonal moisture returns Friday with a chance of thunderstorms in the mountain and desert communities. Tuesday will continue to heat up in Northern California after a few days of temperatures well below average, and another heat wave is expected for the region beginning later this week. Meteorologist Tamara Berg said Tuesday’s forecast high for downtown Sacramento will be 93 degrees, up from 91 degrees on Monday. The average for this time of year is 95 degrees.
