Watch how I make a custom steering wheel badge to replace the original Audi badge. This video shows the process behind making a custom aluminium badge for an Audi steering wheel. This badge is such a small detail in the grand scheme of building/modifying a vehicle. The reason I made this wasn’t to have a badge with my logo on it, it was to play out the process of starting with a simple idea and navigating through to bring it to life. This isn’t something that’s overly difficult to create for anyone with the right tools, but it was something I’ve never made before, which for me introduces a level of excitement of breaking down the finished product in my head and working backwards to create the process. The process is much more exciting to me than the end result. I produce my best work when there’s a challenge presented and sometimes it’s good to take a step back, work on your own projects and create the challenges for yourself to get the creativity flowing and ultimately have fun in what you’re doing.
