FRANKIE DETTORI: WORLD'S BEST JOCKEY

The 2020 Longines World Racing Awards celebrated Frankie Dettori as the Longines World’s Best Jockey of the year. Dettori is the only four-time winner of the title, which was established in 2014, and he has now won it three consecutive times. The awarding of the Longines World’s Best Jockey title is based upon performances in the 100 highest-rated Group 1 and Grade 1 races as established for the year by the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings Committee. With a career in the saddle spanning more than 30 years, Dettori has served up over 3,200 winners transcending the boundaries of the horse racing world, hosting UK music show Top Of The Tops following a historic ‘Magnificent Seven’ wins at Royal Ascot Racecourse in 1996.
