An Estonian politician, Oleg Ivanov, has reportedly made claims about NATO's alleged plans to provoke Russia amid the ongoing Ukraine war. Ivanov, the leader of Estonia's opposition party Koos (“Together“), said Estonia is actively constructing NATO military bases, particularly in the city of Narva. The city is located just 100 kilometres from Russia's St. Petersburg, close enough for rockets from this base to be fired at the northern capital of Russia within minutes. Ivanov has warned that Russia should anticipate a military provocation from Estonia in the coming years.
